Our retreats are a chance to step away from the usual routine and spend more time immersed in training, learning, and community.
We recently ran a retreat on the Sunshine Coast with 20 people attending. Across the weekend, three different coaches shared their skills, experience, and knowledge in movement, handstands, and training. It was a chance for people to learn more, train together in a different environment, and connect outside the gym.
It was one of those events that reminded us how valuable it is to bring people together in a deeper way. More time to move, more time to learn, and more time to enjoy the experience as a group.
At The Kaizen Movement, training is only one part of what we do.
Our events are about bringing the crew together outside the usual class setting. We run in-house competitions, community catch-ups, and social events that give everyone a chance to connect, have fun, and be part of the wider Kaizen community.
You might find us down at the beach for a volleyball comp, heading out for a bouldering session, playing barefoot bowls, or throwing a Christmas party with a DJ, games, and a proper chance to let loose.
Some events are active, some are social, and some are just an excuse to get everyone together. Either way, they are a big part of what makes TKM more than just a gym.
At The Kaizen Movement, we regularly bring in experienced coaches, movers, and specialists to share their knowledge with the community.
Our workshops are designed to help members deepen their understanding, refine their skills, and learn from people who have spent years developing their craft.
In the past and present, this has included coaches and businesses such as Jackson Lennon from Movement 4, Khora Movement, handstand specialist David Marion from Perth, and international handstand specialist Miguel Sant’Ana from Brazil.
These workshops give our members access to different perspectives, coaching styles, and skill sets beyond our regular class programming.
We are also looking to expand into more strength-based workshops, including barbell sessions focused on squatting, deadlifting, and lifting technique.
Whether it is handstands, calisthenics, mobility, movement, or strength training, our goal is simple: to keep learning, keep improving, and give the Kaizen community more ways to move better.
